SUMMARY:Youth Wheelchair Basketball
DESCRIPTION:Wheelchair basketball is a fabulous sport! We welcome new athletes to join us and discover the excitement of learning new skills\, socializing with friends\, and even taking on some friendly competitions! \nWednesdays: Oct 18\, 25\, Nov 1\, 8\, 15\, 29\, Dec 6\, 13\, 20  (Please stay in touch with coaches; dates subject to cancellation if needed) \nLocation: Our wonderful partners at the Trenton and Pamela Jackson R-Center! 485 N. Clinton in the Large Gymnasium \nAll players play using a sports chair\, pushing themselves on the court from end to end. Players learn to dribble\, pass\, catch\, and shoot\, and learn the elements of playing Defense and Offense. New players are welcome to join in at any time during the season! \nWe welcome youth ages 9+ to join us – with and without disabilities. Bring a friend and learn to play the game together! \n*Youth 6-8 yrs old may also contact us about checking out the game and seeing if it is a match for them! \nCoached by Rochester Wheels’ Ryan Hohensee and RAA’s Anita O’Brien.
