SUMMARY:Wheelchair Tennis & Red Ball Social!
DESCRIPTION:Wheelchair Tennis & Red Ball Social!\nThe Wheelchair Tennis & Red Ball Social is open to everyone! Beginner or experienced wheelchair athletes\, friends and family can all play together at this fun-filled event.  \nWith the USTA’s Red Ball play\, everyone gets a racquet in their hand and begins playing within minutes! The first doubles team to four games wins\, with games being only four points! Play alongside wheelchair athletes and hop in a chair to try it yourself!  \nHeld in collaboration with Perinton Recreation & Parks at Perinton Park tennis courts\, 99 O’Connor Rd\, Fairport NY 14450. Coach Avi and Coach Caroline (from Greater Buffalo Adaptive Sports) will lead the fun! \nSports chairs will be provided by RAA; Volunteers will assist during sessions. \nRegistration Required! Click here for our Registration Form.\n\nFAQs:\nWill sports chairs be provided during the Red Ball Social?\nYes. Please indicate that you will need one on the registration form. \nDo I need to already know how to play tennis?\nNo. We will all have super fun together! \nCan I sign up with a friend who doesn’t use a wheelchair?\nYes. We will have extra chairs if someone wants to try it out\, but they can also play standup during the Red Ball Social. \nIs there a fee for registration?\nNo\, wonderfully\, USTA has provided RAA with grant funding to support the costs of this event. We are grateful to be able to set this up with their support! \nWhat can I do after the clinic to keep practicing?\nGreat question! You can go ahead and sign up for Coach Avi’s summer classes through Perinton Recreation and Parks registration. They are expecting you! PR & P has a scholarship application process if financial support is needed.  You can also plan to go to your local tennis court all summer long and play with a friend or family member — you will have basic skills to keep practicing! \nDo I have to take this clinic before signing up for Tennis 101 with Coach Avi through Perinton Rec?\nNo\, you do not! You can go ahead and sign up for Coach Avi’s classes through Perinton Rec through their catalog. SUMMARY:RAA's Favorite Fall Bash!
DESCRIPTION:It’s our Favorite Fall Bash! \nJoin us for a fantastic evening of connecting at our signature RAA-ising the Bar event! We are inviting people from all across our world — new friends we’ve met along the way this year\, friends of friends who like what we do\, and those of you are the sprinkles on our ice cream! \nALL of you are the fuel that keeps us going and we are excited to come together for a refreshing\, casual evening of fun! \nWhen and Where: \nMeet us at the Fairport Brewing Company at 1044 University Avenue\, 4:30-7:00PM. We’ll have raffles\, of course\, because those are fun! And\, expect some new tshirts\, because it’s about time we have a new version out there for all of you who collect them! There will be some additional exciting elements because\, well\, that’s just who we are. \nFirst-timers\, recent timers\, long timers — everyone should come and spend a happy couple of hours with us!  \nCheck out details below\, grab a friend\, family member\, and neighbor and come on over! Drop by and stay a while! \nHelpful Details: \n\nAn ASL interpreter will be on hand throughout the evening.\nPARKING: Find a spot anywhere out in the large lot next to the building. There are not a lot of marked accessible spaces\, so please plan to park as you need to to give yourself the space you need (eg\, if you need space for your ramp\, park across two spots!)\nENTRANCE: The entrance is towards the BACK of the long building — go past all the other entrances until you see our banner on the last door!\nFOOD: We are excited to have Dave from My Babies Burgers & Catering back with us this year! He’s fabulous! Plan to grab your order from him and eat up!\nBEVERAGES: Beverages (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) can be purchased from Fairport Brewing Company – enjoy their wonderful selections!\nRESTROOMS: There are indoor\, gendered restrooms that have a standard ADA accessible unit within them.\nROOM NAVIGATION: The room will be converted to have 6′ tables throughout (rather than all the high-top tables that are usually in there).\nHAVE QUESTIONS?
