RAA kicks off plans for Wheelchair Lacrosse!

RAA continues to build and develop a strategic approach to adaptive and inclusive sports! We are excited to have kicked off the beginnings of Wheelchair Lacrosse in our area!
Working with the lacrosse community, we will be supporting access to this exciting sport, ensuring that youth and adults with disabilities, along with peers without disabilities, will have sustainable access.
On Saturday, January 27, 2024, RAA and FCA Upstate Lacrosse partnered to bring Greater Buffalo Adaptive Sports’ Wheelchair Bandits team to the Trenton and Pamela Jackson R Center for a two-hour clinic. Over 30 sports chairs were filled with local residents as instruction was given and guests were able to get a feel for the game. A fun scrimmage between participants wrapped up the day.
