RAA and 13WHAM at Roc Holiday Village!

An energetic Friday morning at Roc Holiday Village highlighting Rochester Accessible Adventures and the Rochester Sled Hawks!

Such a treat to be on the air with the first LIVE broadcast by the 13WHAM team! They raced down the snowy hill to the festive holiday ice rink on the morning of the Grand Opening day of this month-long Roc Holiday Village.

The 13WHAM crew, Dan, Abigail, and Chris, hung out in the chilly and breezy ice rink with Coach Darren and two Sled Hawks players: longtime athlete Jack Zyra, and newly recruited player, Charlie Maneseri. RAA Staff, Dee Mascari, joined Darren in getting Abigail and Chris into their hockey sleds and providing enough initial instruction to send them out across the rink to practice this new-to-them sport.

They did well!

This was all to promote the community Sled Hockey demo at Roc Holiday Village on Sunday, December 8th. RAA also staffed The Giving Cup, a hot chocolate stand provided by Roc Holiday Village, which supports local nonprofits with proceeds from all sales.
