RAA ExtRAAvaganza!

A man who uses a power wheelchair is working with staff to prep for transferring into a kayak that awaits him on the roller-free adaptive launch area in FairportThis not-to-be-missed annual event is set for a fantastic weekend of fun!

Plan to drop by one or both days to try out adaptive and inclusive kayaking and cycling – and meet new friends and allies! Get directly connected with our Inclusion Partners — businesses that are ready for YOU!

When: Saturday and Sunday June 27 and 28, 11:00-2:00 both days

On event day, when you come to the check-in booth, we will already have your registration info and you can just get started!

What to Expect:

  1. Parking. There is Public Parking off of Main Street. Follow signs for Public Parking (behind Rikki’s and Shorts). If that lot fills, you can use street parking on Main, or use the Public Parking areas across the street on Liftbridge Lane East, near Donnelly’s and also behind the Box Factory (Fairport Junction).
  2. Registration. The event is held at Erie Canal Boat Company. You will see a red shed and our Registration Tent will be near that. If you have pre-registered, look for that Express Lane.
  3. Event. Once you have completed registration, you will have opportunities for Kayaking, Cycling, and perusing the Community Resources tables. Stony Point Art Studio and Gallery will have an art project activity. Guests can participate in a Scavenger Hunt that helps you make the most of your visit! Those trying out kayaking and cycling will be able to see the variety of equipment options and try out any that are of interest. You will paddle or cycle out a little ways and return back to home base. (If you want a longer trip, you can stay after the event and rent the equipment and stay out longer!)

AFTERNOON ART GALLERY VISIT at Stony Point Art Studio & Gallery in Fairport NY.

Location: 114 N. Main Street, Fairport NY 14450

The gallery is just up Main Street from the ExtRAAvaganza and will be open throughout the ExtRAAvaganza for visitors so you can see the inclusive and accessible studio and take a look at the art displayed in the gallery. Public Parking is available nearby if you choose to drive over.

No registration required. The studio will be expecting you! It is also a stop on the Scavenger Hunt, so make sure to stop by!
