Never played before? This is for you!
Want to refresh your skills? This is for you!
Clinics are held in collaboration with Perinton Recreation & Parks at Perinton Park tennis courts, 99 O’Connor Rd, Fairport NY 14450.
Coach Avi will lead the clinics and connect you with the skills and drills to keep you on the courts this summer.
Sports chairs will be provided by RAA; Volunteers will assist during sessions. Players are encouraged to sign up with a friend to learn to play standup/seated play so you can play all summer long. You will learn skills and gain competence for signing up with Coach Avi’s summer Tennis 101 classes and play with your peers.
Registration Required! Click here for our Registration Form.
FAQs:
Will sports chairs be provided during clinics?
Yes. Please indicate that you will need one on the registration form.
Do I need to already know how to play tennis?
No. Coach Avi will teach you introductory skills.
Can I sign up with a friend who doesn’t use a wheelchair?
Yes. They can learn to play in a chair or play standing up across from you.
Is there a fee for registration?
No, wonderfully, USTA has provided RAA with grant funding to support the costs of this event. We are grateful to be able to set this up with their support!
What can I do after the clinic to keep practicing?
Great question! You can go ahead and sign up for Coach Avi’s summer classes through Perinton Recreation and Parks registration. They are expecting you! PR & P has a scholarship application process if financial support is needed. You can also plan to go to your local tennis court all summer long and play with a friend or family member — you will have basic skills to keep practicing!
Do I have to take this clinic before signing up for Tennis 101 with Coach Avi through Perinton Rec?
No, you do not! You can go ahead and sign up for Coach Avi’s classes through Perinton Rec through their catalog. Spring classes on page 28opens PDF file
