Inclusion and Accessibility in the Hospitality Scene

When Kerrie Giesen heads out the door for an evening with friends, she is seeking adventure! And Rochester, New York has so many unique opportunities for arts, recreation, music, sports, entertainment, and so much more.

A good experience, though, is often determined by whether or not the host of the event has implemented strategies that ensure equitable access and equitable experience for people with disabilities.

Grab your coffee cup and give a listen to WXXI’s Connections, hosted by Sarah Abbamonte, with guests Kerrie, Shane, Leslie, and RAA’s Executive Director, Anita O’Brien. We talk about how ROC can make  the local hospitality scene more inclusive for travelers with disabilities.
