RAA ED Awarded 2017 SCORE Client of the Year

“Before I met Anita, it never occurred to me that if one person in a family has a disability, it can mean that the entire family can’t enjoy recreational activities together. RAA, the non-profit that Anita founded, is working to change that. Her organization trains businesses and community rec programs to offer their services to everyone.”

RAA’s executive director, Anita O’Brien, is a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) and has worked closely with a SCORE mentor, Bob Zinnecker, in developing the foundations for the non-profit organization, Rochester Accessible Adventures. SCORE provides free mentorship and training for entrepreneurs looking to start businesses within the community.
