Rosenberry: Adapting is Inspiring

July 27, 2016

Democrat & Chronicle’s Missy Rosenberry was there for the Grand Opening event at Erie Canal Boat Company this summer. Erie Canal Boat Company isn’t new, but the way they do business is. Working with Rochester Accessible Adventures, ECBC owner Peter Abele has transformed how he will operate moving forward. He now has both standard and adaptive kayaking and cycling equipment available for rental all the time. This is not a program for people with disabilities — this is a business that invites people with and without disabilities to enjoy the Erie Canalway together!

Rosenberry interviews Rochester area native, Kerrie Giesen, mother, spouse & friend – who seeks to stay active following her diagnosis of multiple sclerosis.
